Central Coast
The Central Coast — the council area covering Gosford, Wyong, Terrigal, Avoca Beach, and surrounds — is about 90km south of Newcastle. It is outside our everyday run, but we take on Central Coast jobs for clients who want Newcastle-based pricing and a direct booking. The coastal environment creates the same mould and algae conditions as Merewether and Belmont: salt air, high humidity, and rapid biological growth on all external surfaces.
What we do on the Central Coast
We take on Central Coast jobs that are large enough to justify the travel — typically full house washes, roof cleans, or combined services on the same property. Single driveway cleans are not economical at that distance for either party, and we will tell you that upfront.
House washing is the main request. The coastal suburbs — Terrigal, Avoca, Wamberal — have the same salt air issue as Merewether. Rendered and weatherboard homes within a few streets of the beach develop mould faster than the same-age properties inland.
Roof cleaning on the older homes. The Central Coast has a significant stock of 1960s and 1970s brick-and-tile homes with concrete or terracotta roofs. These respond well to soft wash treatment.
Window cleaning using water-fed pole systems for multi-storey properties near the coast where salt deposits on glass are a persistent issue.
