Hamilton's housing stock runs from Federation-era brick bungalows on the streets around the main strip to tightly packed terrace-style homes closer to the rail corridor. Older masonry holds mould — the terracotta tile roofs on pre-war homes are particularly prone to lichen once they pass thirty years. We work in Hamilton regularly.

Merewether sits on the coast about 4km from Newcastle CBD. Salt air accelerates mould and biological growth on every external surface — paintwork, render, roof tiles, solar panels, and window glass. Houses within 500m of Dixon Park Beach and Merewether Beach show faster mould growth than same-age properties inland. A clean lasts less time here, which means it matters more.

Charlestown is one of the larger residential areas in the Lake Macquarie LGA, sitting just south of Newcastle. The housing stock is mainly post-war brick veneer from the 1950s through to the 1980s, with a second wave of brick-and-tile homes from the 1990s. Eucalyptus is dense here — which means gutters block fast and driveways streak with tannin staining after rain.

Cardiff is a mixed industrial and residential suburb in Lake Macquarie, about 18km from Newcastle CBD. The suburb has a history in steelworking — the old BHP Cardiff Steelworks site now houses retail, but the surrounding streets still have workers' cottages and early post-war brick homes from that era. Grime from heavy road use accumulates on driveways and external surfaces faster than in purely residential areas.

New Lambton sits about 4km south-west of Newcastle CBD and is one of the tighter, more established residential suburbs in the area. The streets around New Lambton Park are lined with older brick homes — many with terracotta tile roofs — and established trees that have been there since the suburb developed in the 1930s through 1950s. That combination of old tiles and mature gums creates predictable maintenance problems.

Maitland is a regional city on the Hunter River about 30km north-west of Newcastle. The central Maitland area — particularly around High Street and the East Maitland heritage precinct — has some of the oldest built fabric in the Hunter Valley. River proximity creates higher ambient humidity than coastal areas, which accelerates biological growth on all external surfaces. We service Maitland and the surrounding suburbs regularly.

Belmont is on the eastern shore of Lake Macquarie, about 16km south of Newcastle CBD. Waterfront homes along the lake and properties backing onto the wetlands around Belmont Beach deal with a specific problem: high humidity from the water, combined with organic matter blown in from the lake, accelerates mould and algae growth on driveways, walls, and roofs. We service Belmont regularly.

The Central Coast — the council area covering Gosford, Wyong, Terrigal, Avoca Beach, and surrounds — is about 90km south of Newcastle. It is outside our everyday run, but we take on Central Coast jobs for clients who want Newcastle-based pricing and a direct booking. The coastal environment creates the same mould and algae conditions as Merewether and Belmont: salt air, high humidity, and rapid biological growth on all external surfaces.
