No. High pressure on terracotta or concrete tiles risks cracking, dislodging ridge capping, and stripping the protective coating that slows future growth. We use soft wash treatment at low pressure — that is the method the tile manufacturers and the roofing industry recommend.
How long until I see results after a roof clean?
Soft wash treatment kills the lichen, moss, and algae at the root. The dead growth then washes off over two to four weeks as rain and wind do their work. The roof does not look instantly clean — it improves progressively over the following month.
